What are Reddit and Quora? What Is It Used For?

Reddit is a social news and discussion website founded in the USA. Users on the website, like other social media, photos, surveys, regular blog posts, etc. They share posts. Reddit, where millions of users enter millions of queries, is also a very authoritative and valuable website for Google.

According to Reddit Semrush data, it receives 233.4 million traffic worldwide. It gets visibility from 105 million queries in total and is found in top3 in 4.6 million keywords. Here is a real keyword of mine!

Quora, on the other hand, is a large platform where millions of users around the world ask questions and encounter questions, and other users answer these questions. Just like Reddit, Quora is one of the authoritative websites in the eyes of Google and gains visibility from millions of keywords.

Again, according to Semrush data, Quora receives 176 million monthly traffic worldwide and ranks in the top 3 in 3.4 million keywords. Bingo! Another keyword is mine.

How Powerful Are Reddit and Quora’s Top 3 Keywords?

For example, when we do basic filtering, reddit.com has a KD of 0-15 in the USA and has 3.4K keywords that are viewed. Since the content created by users on Reddit is not strong enough in such keywords, if you write a correct article according to User Intent, it is not challenging to earn traffic in such keywords on the SEO side.

As a result, you can easily compete with most keywords you get from Reddit and Quora.

How to Do Keyword Research on Quora and Reddit?

For example, let’s say you have a website where you sell boots and shoes, and let’s see how you do keyword research on Reddit for this.

As a first step, you can use the Semrush organic research tool. With this tool, you can see how much visibility Reddit gets from the country you want, how much visibility it has, and how much traffic it receives.

The second step is if you click view all organic keywords from the Top Organic Keywords field in the Organic research tool, you can list all the words.

In the field that opens, you can select the country you want to do keyword research, and you can filter below.

The third step is Advanced Filters > Include Keyword Containing > Your Target Keyword ( We say we have a boots website our keyword is “boots”) > Apply our filters. Let’s also click on the add conditions field to exclude Reddit’s brand searches because those users are only focused on Reddit.

The fourth step is to select the top 10 keywords that Reddit has visibility into from the Positions field. In this way, you will be able to see the keywords that you can rank faster.

For example, when I select the intents for PPC and type boots, I see that there is a 3.6K keyword searched like tecovas work boots.

If you select the intents necessary to do keyword research in the field of SEO and filter it with the “how” keyword, you can see the article titles that you can write content about and rise quickly.

You can get keywords from there by repeating the same process for Quora.

You can do keyword research by following these steps on all websites that you think receive very high traffic or on your competitors. Especially if you use informational intent, you can use the major social platforms of the country where you are researching because users perform a lot of queries here.
